Why Playtime Is Important in Children's Spaces Play is critical for children's physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. It helps them explore their world and figure out how things work. They learn important life skills such as problem-solving and cooperation. Children learn through play and playing activates their imaginations. Now, your thinking a library exists for reading and study but quiet play is just as beneficial as active play.
