Beginning Tuesday, May 26th, the three libraries of Clearfield County - the Clearfield County Library and Curwensville Branch Library, the DuBois Public Library, and the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, will begin allowing pick up of library materials. The libraries will be offering pick up services outside the library building of requested library materials. Each library will have designated hours for library material pickups. These hours will be reduced from the library's normal operating hours. To find out how you can request items from your library and for more information regarding these limited hours you can visit your library’s website, or Facebook page. You may also call your library for more information.

Missing the library? Have nothing to read? Check out our online services available 24/7. No patron will be denied access to the online services due to an expired library card or fines on their account.
Need a library card? It is now possible for you to register for a card online. Visit the link https://shaw.sparkpa.org/eg/opac/register to sign up for a temporary card. This will give you access to our online services such as Overdrive and RB Digital while we are shut down. Select Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library as your home library. Complete the application process by providing your name, address, phone number, birth date and an email for us to send you a 14 digit barcode. Once the library reopens, we encourage you to stop by and receive your physical card.
Need access to the internet? You can access our Wi-Fi from the parking lot and benches outside the library. You will need to go to your Wi-Fi settings and search for Open Shaw. Accept our policies and you are good to go. You may need to leave your vehicle to view the network. Once your connected, you will stay that way throughout the parking lot and can return to your vehicle.
The Shaw Public Library's Poetry Contest was a huge success! We received 154 entries from 6 school districts and several home school programs. The judges are working hard to determine the winners. All winners will be notified by mail. Our hope is to hold a reception for each age group in keeping with the federal guidelines for social gatherings. More information to follow.
A special thanks to the Clearfield Woman's Club and the Clearfield Business & Professional Women's Club for sponsoring this year's event.
